Clinical & Ethical Standards of Practice
To ensure clinical ethical standards and standards of
practice are consistent with professional associations, each clinic team
member will adhere professionally to the code of ethics and standards
of practice set forth by their specific professional organization.
To meet these requirements, APT has the following procedures
in place:
- The facility has the address of professional organizations
posted in a visiable area. Professional complaints may be made to this
professional organization if an individual feels that any problems cannot
be resolved.
- The patient, staff member of anyone else will be directed
to the Administrator with any ethical concerns.
- An incident report will be completed immediately by
the Administrator. The Administrator and President will convene within
24 hours of the incident. Additional members may be invited to attend,
as necessary. The Administrator and President will prepare a response
to the appropriate party within 72 hours.
- Disciplinary action may be initiated as deemed necessary
for the situation.
- The Administrator will implement the action plan and
follow-up.
- Each clinician will be provided with the professional
clinical ethical standards as part of their annual performance evaluation.
- Any clinician who violates any professional standards
is susceptible to being reported to the licensing organization, if deemed
appropriate.
Is is the reponsbility of Administration to follow this
procedure. |
