Work Conditioning & Work Hardening

Advanced Physical Therapy offers both Work Conditioning and Work Hardening programs based on the guidelines of the Texas Workers Compensation Commission and generally accepted industry standards.

Work Conditioning is a single disciplinary treatment program that is highly structured and individualized in nature. The program uses real and simulated work activities along with general conditioning tasks to further the patient's physical condition so he or she can return to work.

Work Hardening is a highly structured, interdisciplinary program designed to maximize the ability of the individual patient to return to work. The program addresses the functional, physical, behavioral, psychosocial, and vocational needs of the injured worker. Advanced Physical Therapy uses both real and simulated work activities as well as other physical conditioning tasks to gradually improve the biomechanical, neuromuscular, behavioral, vocational, attitudinal, and metabolic functioning of the injured worker.
