Upper Extremities

The Occupational Therapy services at Advanced Physical Therapy offer individualized care for patients with various upper extremity problems that may have resulted from accidental injury, a work-related injury, a non-work related injury, cumulative trauma disorder or nerve compression syndrome.

Advanced Physical Therapy has the following goals concerning a patients' upper extremity problems:

• Increased upper extremity mobility
• Heightened coordination and dexterity
• Strengthening of weakened muscles
• More functional use of the extremity
• Improved strength with manual lifting tasks
• Patient's more able to perform work tasks for a designated period of time
